Australian Ag Biotech Steps Onto the Global Stage

Terragen launches first international feedlot trial for its Probiotic™ for Ruminants in Canada Terragen has taken an important step in expanding its global footprint, announcing the first international research trialof its Probiotic™ for Ruminants (TPR) — a live microbial supplement designed to support animal health and performance. The two-phase Canadian feedlot trial, conducted in partnership with the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), the University of Calgary, and the Beef Cattle Research Council, will evaluate TPR’s effect on cattle growth performance, carcass quality, and gut-immune function under North American production conditions. AAFC’s Professor Trevor Alexander said the study aligns with their broader research focus on bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and animal health. “We’re excited to explore how probiotics influence gut and respiratory health in feedlot cattle,” he said.
