Terragen Holdings Limited (ASX: TGH) is pleased to share the final independent report from Laconik, a technology enabler for on-farm trials for growers and agribusiness, assessing the performance of Great Land Plus® (GLP) in a commercial silage maize system.
The replicated commercial-scale assessment demonstrated a 12% increase in yield following application of GLP at 4 L/ha under the conditions of the trial
Key Highlights
-
GLP outperformed all other treatments, including GLP combined with kelp
-
12% increase in silage yield at 4 L/ha
-
Estimated additional gross revenue of approximately $1,100 per hectare above standard practice
-
Potential grower ROI of up to 20 times at a treatment cost of $55/ha inclusive of GLP and application
-
Results supported by 13 replicated data sets conducted at commercial scale
Independent, Replicated and Commercial
The assessment was independently conducted by Laconik and included 13 replicated data sets across four different product applications in a commercial grower environment in the Southern Riverina region of New South Wales.
GLP applied at 4 L/ha delivered a statistically significant uplift in yield relative to:
-
Untreated standard grower practice
-
GLP applied at 2 L/ha
-
GLP applied at 4 L/ha combined with kelp extract
Financial Interpretation
Using a silage value of $125 per wet tonne of maize, the measured yield increase of approximately 8.8 wet tonnes per hectare equates to an estimated additional gross revenue of ~$1,100 per hectare above standard practice.
